Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones we use and what each is for.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work: remembering your place in a form, keeping a session secure, and preventing abuse. They cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
Analytics
These tell us which pages people actually use — for example, whether a guide gets read or ignored — so we can improve them. The data is aggregated and we do not use it to identify you personally.
Advertising measurement
If we run ads to reach people looking for assistance, these cookies tell us which ads brought someone to the site. We do not use them to build profiles for sale.
How to control cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop parts of the site from working.
Most browsers also offer a “do not track” setting and private-browsing mode. Where the law requires us to honour an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, we do.
