One call. Real referrals. No runaround.
We are an information and referral service. The whole job is knowing which of several hundred programmes fit your situation, and pointing you at them quickly.
Four steps, and the longest one is yours
You call, or ask for a callback
A real team member picks up during business hours. If we are closed, leave your details and you get a call on the next business day. There is no queue system, no account to create, and nothing to pay.
We work out what fits
A few questions about what is most urgent, where you live, who is in the household, and roughly what is coming in. No credit check, no documents needed on the call, no application.
We tell you exactly where to go
The programmes that match your situation, the phone number or office for each, what to bring, and the order to do them in. You apply directly with every one.
You apply. We are out of the way
We do not submit forms, speak to agencies on your behalf, or take a cut of anything you receive. If something falls through, call us back and we will work out what else is open.
No script, no sales pitch
Most calls take ten to twenty minutes. You will be asked what is most urgent first, because the answer changes what we look at — a shutoff notice this week is a different conversation from wanting to get back into training.
You do not need documents in front of you. You do not need to know which programmes exist, or what they are called. That part is our job.
If the honest answer is that a free government line serves you better than we do, we will say so and give you the number. That happens often.
What we do not do
Worth being blunt about, because services in this space are often vague on exactly this point.
We do not pay your bills
No grants, no loans, no money changes hands between us and you in either direction.
We do not fill in applications
We tell you what the form asks and what to bring. You submit it, so you stay in control of your own case.
We are not the government
We have no special access, no influence over a decision, and no affiliation with any agency or programme.
We are not a charity
We are a privately held company. We do not take donations, and we are not a 501(c)(3).
How we are paid
The call is free and always will be. We earn through referral partnerships: when we refer you to a partner and you choose to use them, that partner may pay us a fee.
No government programme pays us, and none could. Section 8, Medicaid and every other public programme on this site earn us nothing — which is most of what we talk about all day.
